Can you help Sammy? 

Sammy is a five year old blind Rottweiler who was abandoned by his owner in the woods in Georgia. He was an abuse case who was found severely underweight. He was brought to Houston, Texas by the rescue railroad and evaluated by Dr Herman a renowned canine ophthalmologist and it was determined his vision cannot be restored. The reason for his loss of sight is unknown, but Dr Herman believes it is due to a systemic insult, such as tick borne disease.

Sammy has adapted very well, and has gained 15 pounds and his coat is now shiny and healthy! He enjoys his walks and is friendly with other dogs. Dr Herman was impressed with his good temperament and willingness to be handled and examined. He loves people and is very
affectionate. He has been neutered and enjoys his toys and loves to eat! Sammy needs a home, preferably with another dog and likes a yard with room to run. He wants so much to be loved and needs his own family. He is a very handsome boy and full of life! Please help to
